Register a Name

Registering a name on the enVoi Naming Service allows you to claim a unique identifier that can be used across the Voi Network. Here's how to register your own name using the web interface:

Prerequisites​

  • A web browser
  • An enVoi supported wallet or browser extension (like Kibisis, Lute, Biatec)
  • Some VOI tokens to pay for the transaction

Steps to Register a Name​

  1. Access the Web Interface

    • Visit app.envoi.sh
    • Connect your wallet using the "Connect Wallet" button

  2. Search for Your Name

    • Enter your desired name in the search bar
    • The system will show if the name is available for registration

  3. Register the Name

    • If the name is available, click the "Register" button
    • Set the registration duration (between 1 and 5 years)
    • Review the registration fee
    • Confirm the transaction in your wallet

  4. Verify Registration

    • Once the transaction is complete, your name will appear in your profile
    • You can view your registered names in the "My Names" section

Registration Rules​

  • Names must be between 1 and 32 characters long
  • Only lowercase letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), and hyphens (-) are allowed
  • Registration fee varies based on name length and duration
  • Names are registered for 1 year by default

Managing Your Name​

After registration, you can:

  • Update your name's records
  • Transfer ownership
  • Renew registration
